    Biography

    Currently known as ArmandSimonelli, Stefan Van Huysen is a Spanish DJ, born in 1979 in Uccles, Brussels, Belgium, and naturalised in Spain, where he has lived in the Benidorm area of Alicante since he was four years old. Since 1998, he has worked as a DJ in various venues in Benidorm and the surrounding area, with performances in other provinces, under different names such as VirtuaDJ, ArmandoCST, DJ Armando. In 2004, he decided it was time to get into a studio to capture some of the ideas he had, and what better place to do so than in the studio of his great friend, Enrico Frazione, to work on a track they had been talking about for some time. In 2005, it was finished, and finally, in 2006, it saw the light of day thanks to the record label Ultimate Records. The anecdotal story behind the album is that they looked for some new pseudonyms, and as it was a Belgian-style trance track, they decided to use names that sounded similar. That’s how they came up with Stephan Van Huysen and his partner in this adventure, DJ Sylvana, became as Debbie de Groot. On the cover of the first album, it ended up being written “Stefhan Van Huysen” with an “fh” instead of a “ph”. The second track, entitled ‘Promises’, was finished in 2006, but it was not until 2013 that it was released, thanks to Debbie de Groot, under the DNZ Records label.

    Conocido en la actualidad como ArmandSimonelli, Stefan Van Huysen es un Dj Español, nacido en el año 1979 en Uccles, Bruselas, Bélgica y nacionalizado en España donde reside en la zona de Benidorm, Alicante desde los 4 añitos de edad. Desde 1998 ha trabajado de Dj en varios locales de Benidorm y alrededores, con actuaciones en otras provincias, con diferentes nombres VirtuaDj, ArmandoCST, Dj Armando, en 2004 decidió que llegó la hora de meterse en un estudio a plasmar algunas de las ideas que tenía y que mejor que hacerlo en el estudio de su gran amigo, Enrico Frazione para trabajar en un tema que ya venían hablando desde hacia tiempo. En 2005 ya estaba terminado y finalmente en 2006 vió por fin la luz de la mano de la discográfica Ultimate Records. La anécdota del disco es buscaron unos nuevos pseudónimos, al ser un tema trancero tipo belga decidieron poner unos nombres que también pareciesen, así nació la decision de ponerse Stephan Van Huysen y la que fue su compañera en esta aventura Dj Sylvana Debbie de Groot, en la portada del primer disco acabó escrito «Stefhan Van Huysen» con fh en vez de con ph.
    El segundo tema, que lleva el nombre de «Promises», estaba acabado en 2006 pero no fue hasta 2013 que vió la luz gracias a Debbie de Groot, de la mano de DNZ records.
